Job Summary:

Coordinate the activities of Compounding Department to ensure the moldline is properly stocked and to notify management of any deficiencies.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Adjust the schedules as necessary to keep moldline supplied.
  • Keep track of all rework and rollends in the rework area and process as necessary.
  • Verify production data is accurately recorded
  • Promote and support a Lean Manufacturing environment within the facility
  • Performs other duties, as assigned based on business needs
  • Constantly evaluate existing processes and works towards continuously improve these processes
  • Document and schedule all scrap and batch reassignment. Perform month end inventory for close.
  • Assign operators to appropriate machinery according to scheduling. Perform relief duties.
  • Perform Compounding line clearances for the moldline.
  • Provide mixer/mill operators with schedule and mix procedures and calendar operator with calendar specifications.
  • Coordinate batches being precut.
  • Fill out Scrap Report and forward to Production Manager and Accounting.
  • Report all mechanical problems to maintenance and management.
  • Solve problems, investigate mix-ups.
  • Provide managers with daily information on mixing schedule and what is going on in the department.
  • Track MOs with managers and MUO's throughout the day.
  • Use designated cleaning agents and materials to clean rubber residue from stock leaf carts.
  • Use good housekeeping practices to maintain a clean, orderly, and safe work area.
  • Performs other duties, as assigned based on business needs.
  • Conforms with and abides by all regulations, policies, work procedures, instruction, and all safety rules.
  • Exhibits regular, reliable, punctual, and predictable attendance.

Basic Qualifications:

  • High School diploma or equivalent.
  • Experience: 0-3 years of experience
  • Qualifying scores on Wonderlic tests. Good communication skills to interact with others in a positive manner. Capable of being certified on all machines in Compounding Department and have 2 years of experience.

Preferred Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Able to comply with the company's safety policy at all times

Travel Requirements:

  • Must be able to travel up to 0% of the time

Physical & Mental Requirements:

  • Must be able to lift 50 lbs. frequently and push/slide up to 100lbs. occasionally.
  • Must be able to read and write
  • Good communication skills to interact with others in a positive manner
  • Must be able to understand direction and adhere to established procedures
  • Must be able to perform job duties as required with limited physical demands
