Position Description:

Wade Trim is seeking Summer Intern pursuing a bachelor's degree in urban planning or a related field to join our Community Design Team to improve infrastructure in our Detroit or Tampa offices. College junior or senior status is preferred for all internship positions, and a valid driver's license is required. Candidates must be self-motivated, very organized and have excellent communication skills.
Typical responsibilities include:
  • Assist with data research and analysis for a variety of planning and zoning studies, including master plans, consolidated plans, zoning ordinances, and recreation plans
  • Conduct project specific research through field-work, interviews, literature review, etc.
  • Assist in the preparation of narratives, tables, and exhibits in support of planning studies
  • Assist in the development of GIS-based maps and data
  • Maintain excellent client relations
  • Maintain a safe working environment
Education:
  • Pursuing a Bachelor's Degree in Urban Planning or related field
Skills/Experience:
  • Valid Driver's License
