ELS is hiring for the position of Legal Administrative Assistant in Tampa, Florida.

What you'll do:

The Legal Administrative Assistantsupports the legal team with respect to the day-to-day clerical,administrativeand operational functionsof the office.

Your job will include:

  • Perform standard administrative dutiesin support of team members(e.g., answering phones, scheduling meetings, etc.)

  • Assist with the preparation of legal documents, including subpoenas, complaints and appeals.

  • Organize case files and complete legal forms.

  • Generate and organize reference tools for use by team members.

  • Maintain and update databases and tracking systems.

  • Prepare and format necessary reports and presentations.

  • Maintain accurateand currenthard copy and electronic files.

  • Perform legal research and analysisas required.

Experience & skills you'll need:

  • Associates degree, or the equivalent combination of education and experience.

  • Paralegal certification or related coursework preferred.

  • 1+ year of experience in a legal environment.

  • Proficiency withMicrosoft Office, Lexis-Nexis and other relevant legal and research software programs.

  • Familiarity with key legal principlesand terminology.

  • Exceptional organizational and time management skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced team environment.

  • Excellent written and verbal communications skills.

  • Strongresearch and administrative skillsand meticulous attention to detail.

  • Proven experience managing multiple projects simultaneously with the ability to prioritize appropriately.

  • Ability to work effectively under pressure and meetdeadlines.
