Job Description

CONMED is currently seeking an enthusiastic training specialist who can design training content to support compliance, skill development and career growth. A successful candidate will have a foundational understanding of instructional design principles and how to create training content that leads to impactful, measurable results.

In this role, you will collaborate with subject matter experts to assess training needs and create content that is engaging and results in improved job performance. You will play a key role in maintaining and improving our corporate learning management system, processes and resources. Through a data-driven approach, you'll implement training improvements leading to increased efficiency, quality, engagement, and retention of our employees. This is an exciting opportunity to learn about the rigorous standards required of a medical device manufacturer and enhance training effectiveness to accelerate employee competency, productivity and development. This is a remote opportunity.

Objectives of this role

  • Responds to training support requests and questions.

  • Assists in the identification of potential training needs and projects aligned to roadmap, using a data-driven approach to specify and evaluate training outcomes as measured by competence of trainees, learner experience, and business outcomes.

  • Conducts training needs assessment and identifies potential improvements to existing training. Seeks input from multiple stakeholders, considers compliance requirements and other interdependencies.

  • Develops cohesive, relevant curricula by partnering with organizational leaders.

  • Uses core instructional design principles and adult learning theories to maximize learningand training transfer.

  • Creates a variety of content to meet the training needs: on-line, live, hands-on and interactive content.

  • Creates and reviews training evaluation to continuously improve and update current training content and outcomes.

  • Assists in maintenance and troubleshooting of the global learning management system (Cornerstone), including record entry, updating training plans, assignments, validation and content.

  • Performs other duties and special projects as assigned.

Qualifications

  • A Bachelor's degree in instructional design, education, or a related field such as organizational leadership or psychology

Preferred Skills and qualifications

  • In-depth understanding of instructional design models and learning theories

  • Ability to navigate learning management systems and use content development software

  • Clear and effective curriculum-planning skills

  • Strong project management skills

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including presentation skills

  • Strong attention to detail

0-20% travel.

This position is not eligible for employer-based visa sponsorship.

Disclosure as required by applicable law, the annual salary range for this position is 58,460 to 85,000. The actual compensation may vary based on geographic location, work experience, education and skill level. The salary range is CONMED's good faith belief at the time of this posting.
