Essential Job Duties

  • Perform operational, financial, and compliance audits of all AMIkids Programs and Home Office,
  • Complete audit procedures including review of records, evaluation of internal controls, assessment of compliance with policies, procedures, and various grant requirements,
  • Visit program locations and complete onsite audit testing,
  • Formulate audit findings and recommendations for improvement and present to management,
  • Prepare audit work papers and audit reports in a timely manner,
  • Complete follow-up on the audit recommendations and corrective action plans,
  • Provide input for the annual audit risk assessment,
  • Assist external auditors in completion of the various audit testing procedures,
  • Complete departmental administrative tasks according to established schedules,
  • May travel for work related duties,
  • Assist with special projects and other duties as assigned.

Minimum Education, Training and Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, business, or related field,
  • Certified Internal Auditor (CIA), Certified Public Accountant (CPA), or other related professional designation preferred,
  • Experience in Internal Audit or Compliance preferred,
  • Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Windows (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook),
  • Effective written, verbal and presentation skills,
  • Ability to work independently and meet established deadlines,
  • Familiarity with data-mining software, e.g.,ACL, Active Data a plus
