Your Role
As a Gensler Architect with our in or , your job is to combine creativity and technical knowledge with business skills and understanding to produce functionally beautiful spaces for clients. What You Will Do
- Documentation coordination with consultants (structural, MEP, lighting, AV, acoustical, accessibility, building envelope, life safety, etc.)
- Coordinate with the project team, client, vendors, contractors, and consultants for a variety of healthcare projects (medical office buildings, hospitals, outpatient clinics, surgery centers, community health centers, etc.)
- Manage ACHA communication and stage approvals
- Resolve complex technical and design issues with team to produceinnovative, technical, constructible solutions
- Direct production of drawings, specifications and construction administration tasks
- Responsible for delivery of documents with design intent and top-notch technical quality
- Contribute to the maintenance and oversight of the project manual and specifications
- Conduct on-site observations and document site reviews
- Process submittals/substitution requests during construction and address RFIs
- Interface with building and permitting officials during the permitting and construction phases of the project
- Actively participate and contribute to the financial performance of project
- Review and contribute to proposals and contracts with the Design Manager
- Contribute to office activities, initiatives and learning programs
- Establish and maintain ongoing, productive client relationships
Your Qualifications
- Experience working within AHCA (Agency for Health Care Administration) regulations to deliver projects in the state of Florida
- Bachelor's degree in Architecture from an accredited school
- Registered / Licensed Architect (RA)
- ACHA (American College of Healthcare Architect) certification is a bonus
- 10+ years (preferred) of related experience on healthcare projects, from feasibility studies, pre-design, space programming, master planning to schematic design, design development and construction documents
- Understanding of healthcare regulations and codes (FGI and NFPA)
- Highly proficient with Revit
- LEED AP (or in process) preferred
- Expertise with building codes, standards and building structures - able to lead and guide our teams and clients with confidence
- Flexibility to focus on concurrent projects in various stages of development
- A quick learner with an ability to thrive in a fast-paced work environment
- Collaborative and team-conscious
- Must have the ability to maintain existing client relationships and build new client relationships through successful project delivery
- Demonstrated commitment to sustainability and sustainable building practices; Portfolios should include at least one project (especially built projects with LEED, Living Building Challenge, WELL Building Standard, Fitwel, and/or Net Zero Building certification) with this particular focus, which we look forward to discussing during the interview
