Position Summary

The Director of Development for Programs works closely with AMIkids' programs and associated Boards to advance philanthropy at the local level. Carrying out the overall Resource Development Department strategic vision, the Director of Development for Programs coaches and fully supports program leadership through a process designed to enhance each program's ability to attain financial security through philanthropy.

Essential Job Responsibilities

  • Inspire, motivate and coach Program leadership through an existing fundraising process,
  • Travel to AMIkids Programs to partner with Program on effective fundraising,
  • Attend/present at Program Board meetings and AMIkids, Inc. national meetings,
  • Hone fundraising strategy to align with each Program's unique needs and opportunities,
  • Make individual major gift asks and partners with program leadership to make major gift asks,
  • Together with the VP of Resource Development, identifies goals and meets assessment metrics,
  • Track and report on the progress of each Program and the progress of the Programs collectively,
  • Connect Programs with appropriate Resource Development and AMIkids Inc. resources,
  • Direct AMIkids' organization-wide annual giving campaign, the Family Campaign,
  • Collaborate with the National Director of Corporate Partnerships, direct the solicitation of sponsorships for AMIkids' Annual Board of Trustees meeting,
  • Manage special projects and duties as assigned for the overall benefit of AMIkids.

Minimum Education, Training and Experience

  • Bachelor's degree,
  • Five years of related work experience,
  • Strong, effective oral and written communication,
  • Proficient in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook,
  • Proficiency in Raiser's Edge is preferred,
  • Ability to travel 30-50% of time required.
