The Senior Recreation Supervisor is a entry to leadership role that is responsible for overseeing the planning, development, and implementation of community recreation programs. This position involves managing staff, training, program evaluation, and ensuring the highest quality of recreational services. Responsibilities
    Develop, plan, and supervise a wide range of recreational programs and special events tailored to guest needs.
  • Lead, train, and evaluate recreation staff, ensuring a high level of performance and professional development.
  • Oversee the maintenance and operation of recreation facilities to ensure safety and compliance with regulations.
  • Analyze program effectiveness and make data-driven decisions to improve services.
  • Address and resolve complex issues and complaints from Guests or members.
  • Maintain an inventory of beach equipment and report any damages or losses.
  • Monitor staff members underneath you and make sure all policies and procedures are being followed.
  • Provide information to guests about beach rules, safety guidelines, and local attractions.

This role requires both office work and active supervision of programs at various locations. This role includes extended periods outside and may involve exposure to the elements, such as sun, wind, and sand. The Senior Recreation Supervisor must be adaptable and able to work in a dynamic and changing environment.

Qualifications
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to perform physical tasks, including lifting heavy objects and working in various weather conditions.
  • A friendly and outgoing personality with a guest-oriented mindset.
  • Previous experience in a hospitality or customer service role is preferred.
  • CPR and First Aid certification is a plus.
  • Must be able to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays
  • Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills.
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
  • Proficiency in relevant software applications and registration systems is desirable.
