Job Description

CONMED Foot & Ankle is seeking a Sales Director to lead our Eastern half United States sales team. In this role, you will be responsible for executing corporate business strategies within the East region to maximize sales growth. You will provide leadership to both Regional Sales Managers and Distributors to help achieve sales objectives in an assigned area while operating within Company policies/procedures and the assigned expense budget.

As a team player, you will ensure that your team provides outstanding customer service and executes demonstrations/presentations within the Operating Room & office settings to surgeons and hospital personnel. What You Will Do:

  • Develop and implement business plans under the direction of the Senior Director of US Sales
  • Reviews annual budget and monthly financial goals for the business unit to ensure resources are maximized to accomplish target sales and service goals.
  • Analyzes the sales activity to forecast for the region on a daily and weekly basis to proactively chart courses of action and ensure achievement of financial goals.
  • Establishes and develops rapport with key surgeons and engage with admin level customers (hospital and ambulatory surgery centers) to lead and manage positive and productive relationships.
  • Recruit, hire, trains and manage a performance-oriented sales management team.
  • Maintains routine communications, management support, leadership, performance management and development of each direct report.
  • Empowers sales team to complete talent and performance reviews.
  • Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with company policies and applicable laws, including, but not limited to, interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.

What You Need:

  • Bachelor's Degree from Accredited University (MBA or MA preferred)
  • 8+ years of progressive, demonstrated successful sales and sales management experience in the medical device industry
  • Direct selling experience
